JohnFitchV.com is proud to announce that John's newest novel, A Galaxy At War, has been released in digital format for Amazon Kindle. It costs $1.99 and is immediately sent to your Kindle device.

This link will take you to the novel's placement in the Kindle Store to have it delivered to your Kindle device, whether through the hand-held eReader, your iPhone, your BlackBerry, or your PC through the Kindle for PC application.

John wrote the novel in the fall of 2008, and it's the story of a pilot, Ryann Germayne, who is given an assignment of critical importance. A rebellious government is being set up, and Ryann must assassinate one of the leaders.

But when he is asked to do it again, he makes a decision that affects not only him, but his wife, his friends -- and the galaxy as a whole.

"This was a very fun story to write," Fitch told his web site. "Ryann's switch is very dramatic, and should be one that keeps readers flipping pages."

The novel will be released in trade paperback in the next few weeks, and Fitch will be blogging the book, every so often.

"This is a very happy day for me," Fitch told his Web site on October 28. "I've been wanting to get this story out to the public for some time, and now it is. I want to thank everyone who has been supportive of this project."

Fitch said the novel, which he wrote in December 2006 in between his tenures as a sportswriter with the Southbridge Evening News, is an "alternative history" story which chronicles two fans of the Boston Red Sox -- Fitch's favorite baseball team -- as they travel through time to correct two events in baseball history: The Sale of Babe Ruth and the Black Sox Scandal, both of which happened within three months of each other in 1919-20.

"It's a fun story to tell, and it was an equally fun story to write," Fitch said. "It is my hope that my readers get caught up in the tale of Greg Patterson and Brandon Roy, as well as the historical people they interact with in the past."
